INTRODUCTION:
Urban & Environmental Management (UEM) is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team of professionals to lead and manage planning projects as well as work with our civil engineering team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Undertake planning for land development mainly for private sector clients
- Full and class environmental assessments
- Prepare planning reports and applications
- Ability to prepare conceptual plans for various types of developments
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Planning Act and other applicable legislation, policies and guidelines
- Business development with existing clients on new and existing projects and developing new clients and projects.
- Develop public, stakeholder and agency consultation materials for various public forums
- Work with other consultants and review and incorporate consultant work into projects
- Deal with clients on a day to day/project basis
- Project Management, including technical and financial management
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7 or more years relevant experience
- University Degree in Planning or a related discipline
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Registered Professional Planner (RPP) under the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI)
COMPENSATION:
- Competitive salary in the range of $70,000 to $85,000
- 5-hour work week with flexible work-week schedule
- Four weeks vacation
